HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 All-in-One use HP 940 / 940XL high capacity cartridges. HP 940 (C4902AE) Black , HP 940 Black – Yellow (C4900AE), HP 940 Cyan – Magenta (C4901AE),  HP 940XL Black (C4906AE), HP 940XL Cyan (C4907AE), HP 940XL Magenta (C4908AE), HP 940XL 3-Colour Pack (InkCG898AE), HP 940XL Yellow (C4909AE).



 Only perform this when it won’t print out.



1.     Take out all the ink cartridges

2.     Unplug the power cord and leave for 20 seconds

3.     Plug the power back in and turn your printer back on

4.     Touch the SETUP icon on your touch screen which has a picture of a wrench

5.     Use the arrows to scroll down to TOOLS.

6.     PRESS on TOOLS and scroll down to RESTORE FACTORY DEFAULTS.

7.     Press cancel when you see the message DEFAULTS RESTORED.

8.     Install your remanufactured ink cartridges

9.     If your printer was on a network you will need to reset up your network

10.  You can now print.


You can replace your HP officeJet Pro 8500 series with Compatible HP 940 standard capacity ink or High Capacity HP940XL ink cartridge for less.
